No matter what I wasn't ever letting 5cp back into invite HL. I'm not sure about the lower levels but I'm pretty sure they hate it too.

millstone shouldn't even be considered in the pool because the Wrap Assassin alt-fire breaks instantly and hits you basically everywhere on last. considering wrap assassin is (arguably) the best HL scout melee, probably need to fix that along with the rest of the map before thinking about adding it to the rotation...

5cp doesn't work for highlander, synthetic was interesting but it felt like a more convoluted ramjam. I do like the idea, but synthetic has the same issue ramjam does, which is that the map feels way too clunky and has way too many unnecessary pieces added to it

synthetic was basically just one giant spam angle and everyone playing ring around the rosy through flanks, and vanguard is 5cp burn it, now

hopefully millstone doesn't suck, my small brain can't remember what it was like in steel s22
reality is a construct and we're all living in the matrix controlled by sentient cups of water harvesting our natural moisture from themselves

short video showing you what I was talking about before, basically all of last breaks the wrap assassin instantly for no reason, probably need to have the mapmaker get rid of this before considering it in the rotation...

i forgot to show but it also effects the upstairs over 4th point, as well as the dropdown close to last spawn

Millstone last is the worst point in Highlander history by far and the rest of the map is also pretty unenjoyable.

millstone is just one giant choke. synthetics point is too small, the map overall feels like it takes place on one side of the map all the time, and 5cp should never be played in highlander. All the maps need major changes to become better. do not add any of the maps used in the cup.

Synthetic
     For starters, main is too dangerous to play, as the sightline for it is very long and hard to stop. The lower tunnel also prevents it from being a decent place to have the flank watch. The entire map takes place in your tunnel, and you sit there until you need to leave, to which you go back to the tunnel. As engineer it was extremely boring because you just place a mini that can watch both point, lower tunnel, and their tunnel and wrangle for 90% of the match, the last 10% being spy checking. It's really boring. The tunnel is bigger than Warmtic tunnel, which means it's even harder for Soldiers to bomb in. You can also easily have your flank sit around the entrance (your side of the tunnel) to easily call out and stop any flanks (which you will already know about since there's no way to enter the flank without being seen). The left part of the map is just useless in it's current state. There is very little reason to ever go to it. Pushing from under is bad and pushing from that small door way is not that great and easily kited. The map's flank access is nice, but it's very telegraphed and the tunnel's size more or less stops anything from occurring from a flank push. Tunnels need to be nerfed and the left side of the map needs to be adjusted a lot, though I'm not exactly sure how to go about it.

Vanguard
     Honestly fine except for the long ass sniper sightline on last by vent. Nerf/remove it and it'll be a good map, not that it'll ever be played. I suppose you could also consider removing vent, though I'm not sure how bad that would mess with Spy. If Spy is not really affected then removing it would probably help out since the offense already has tons of ways to enter last.

Millstone
     Make the wooden panel on 1st a no build zone, it's way too strong. Last is alright aside from sightlines, maybe make the small bridges just land so the pit is just a smaller circle (still keep it so that you can just walk from the bridge so to the end of the cart if you get what I mean). Rest is fine from my experience. I will say, though, that I'm not completely confident in my assessment of this map. Engineer on this map is eh in terms of actually playing the game, so take it with a grain of salt.

synthetic sucked because theres really no good spot to hold but it wasnt terrible, reminded me of cascade tbh. id still prefer to play ramjam over it though

vanguard sucked because its 5cp in highlander but compared to most hl 5cp maps 2 thumbs up from me

millstone sucked because theres so much wasted potential to the map, its friggin massive but the space is used very ineffectively and the tight corridors make the map feel like a massive chokepoint. in addition, a lot of points have no viable flank routes, typically with maybe 1 corridor in addition to the tracks if any at all, resulting in soldiers used to spam the chokes more making it feel even more chokey and making it sucky for any non combo class. also theres only about 3 hard hold locations on the map, second is too open to set up a hold, third just gets spammed out and leaves you without a hold on the much better fourth, which is literally just a spam fest through the single choke, and last just feels really bad overall wiith the massive pit which could have been so much better designed. id love for millstone to become a good map because it actually kind of rocks and has a nice layout overall but it desperately needs a massive overhaul to change the effectiveness of some holds and to open up alternate routes.

I didnt like vangaurd as it just highlights the problems 5cp and hl have when put together, that being said i really enjoyed synthetic, i really hope it get put in this season, imo it plays like a combo of ramjam/coalplant and it feels very fresh. everything i can say about millstone is put into words by kev above me
